Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kelly Sansalone, and for over 30 years, making people feel beautiful has been my life’s work.

My journey in the beauty industry began at a very young age. As a little girl, I loved watching my mom and copying her by French braiding my dolls’ hair. That spark quickly grew into a lifelong passion. By high school, many of my friends left my house—or returned from overnight school trips—with brand-new hairstyles. I knew early on that this was what I was meant to do.

The summer after Grade 10, I began working in a salon during evenings, weekends, and every school break—and I’ve never looked back.

Over the years, my career has taken me to some incredible places. I’ve had the opportunity to work as an educator for respected companies, teaching fellow stylists and collaborating with some of the most talented professionals in the industry. I’ve also experienced the business side of beauty, owning my own distribution company and working closely with salons and spas.

Eventually, my path led me back behind the chair, where I owned and operated a salon and spa—starting small and growing it into a thriving, bustling business.

Today, my journey has come full circle. I’m embracing a simpler way of life, with greater flexibility and more quality time with my beautiful family. From that place of intention and balance, Simplicity Hair Lounge was born.
